Relationship Coaching
Do You Worry You’re Losing Hope Of Finding The Right Person?
Are you so frustrated by the dating game that you sometimes feel like giving up? Do you find yourself consistently dating the wrong person or starting and ending relationships quickly because you don’t know what you want—or why?
Perhaps you feel like you are in a relationship that has the potential to be happier, but you don’t know what steps you need to get there. Or maybe you are experiencing problems in your current relationship, and you want the clarity and confidence to make some changes.
Finding True Love Is Not Always Easy
At times, the process can be so discouraging that you eventually become unconscious and lose touch with yourself—either in your relationships or with dating. As a result, you’re probably having trouble finding a relationship that feels right.
If you are dating someone, you may feel inauthentic—as if your partnership doesn’t contain the space for you to show up as you truly are. You may feel disconnected or lonely in a relationship you realize has become stagnant, but you don’t know how to let go and move forward. Or you may have recently gone through a difficult breakup and you just need time—and help—to recover and regroup.
Regardless of the circumstances, you’ve likely decided that something about your situation isn’t working. So whether you’re looking for a lasting, satisfying, and soulful connection with someone—or you are taking a closer look at your current relationship, I offer a safe and supportive space for you to find clarity, relief, and the courage to create positive change.
Dating and Relationship Challenges Are Inevitable In The Search For Love
Finding the right person and—more importantly—maintaining a healthy attachment to a partner is not as easy as it seems. After all, most of us were never taught how to form, be in, or nourish healthy relationships.
As children, we lose touch with our inner selves and the ability to express our needs early on, as we conform to the expectations of the adults around us. That’s why, when we become adults ourselves, it can be so difficult to distinguish what we truly want versus the expectations of society, family, or our own unconscious minds.
Not to mention, television, social media, and Hollywood reflect impossible relationship standards. And the consumer-mindset prevalent in our culture further promotes the idea that satisfaction and completion are found outside ourselves, whether in products, experiences, or other people.
Healing And Happiness Come From Within
Whenever we look outside of ourselves for solutions to problems (rather than looking within), we are merely treating symptoms—not the core issue. Moreover, we attract those who are on our own wavelength—those who can understand and relate to us. So despite envisioning the perfect partner, if we are not true to ourselves, we are simply presenting a false image that attracts the wrong people.
Unfortunately, many individuals don’t even know what they want or what will make them happy. So they end up chasing after partners that aren’t truly compatible.
That’s why relationship coaching can be such a powerful resource. I help and encourage you to really discover who you are right now, what you seek in a partner, and how you can create a safe and fulfilling relationship.
Relationship Coaching Can Illuminate Who You Are And What You Need To Be Happy
As a relationship life coach, I’ll help you examine where you are here and now, and I’ll walk with you in your journey to where you want to be. Through thoughtful questioning, I’ll help you to uncover your truths, discover blind spots, and identify what you want so you can take measurable, conscious steps moving forward.
What Are Relationship Coaching Sessions Like?
I prefer to start the first session with a visioning exercise. Visioning is a powerful tool that allows you to explore what you want to create in your life without self-criticism, judgment, or limitation. The visioning process brings out the dreamer in you and temporarily silences your internal critic and saboteur. It can bring long-hidden desires to light and give you clarity and movement where you feel stuck or unsure.
At the beginning of subsequent sessions, I’ll touch base with you to discuss what has happened since we last met and any challenges or setbacks that may have arisen. Then, through thoughtful questioning, we’ll explore where you are now—uncovering any deeper or hidden truths—and slowly start to build actionable steps toward achieving your goals.
My Approach To Relationship Coaching
I take a client-centered approach to coaching because I believe that each individual has within them the answers to their own problems. As we work together, clients make discoveries, develop insights, and reveal self-truths, which empowers them to move forward with objectivity, conviction, and confidence.
As a relationship coach, I provide a safe container for you to see more deeply into yourself so that you can live more authentically and consciously. With perspective comes relief from the painful feeling of being stuck, confused, or stalled. During our sessions together, you’ll discover your own deepest truths and learn how to move into alignment with who you really are.
When we feel stuck or uncertain—being seen, heard, and supported by a compassionate and experienced professional is a powerful and essential catalyst to self-realization. Knowing yourself and what you need in a partner empowers you to seek out healthy and fulfilling relationships. At the same time, coaching gives you powerful skills for building relationships, improving communication, and deepening the connection you have with your partner.
Perhaps You’re Interested In Working With A Relationship Life Coach, But You Still Have Concerns…
Counseling didn’t work, so how do I know relationship coaching will be any different?
Licensed therapists help clients with past or present traumas as well as those who have received specific psychiatric diagnoses (including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder). Many people, however, do not fit the typical therapy model and are simply looking for clarity and direction in their lives.
Relationship coaching, in contrast, is more solution-focused and concerned with helping clients who want to gain perspective on their current situation and move forward.
Rather than focusing on the past and the reasons you’re feeling frustrated or stuck, I help you look at where you are now and where you want to go. Finding clarity within yourself can bring harmony and healing to the present and leave you feeling excited about the future.
If I’m having relationship problems, how can individual coaching benefit me?
Without first understanding yourself, you won’t be able to show up in a relationship authentically. Understanding yourself in a relationship includes knowing where you are right now, why you’re there, and where you want to go.
As a relationship coach, I’ll help you gain this understanding and work with you to make a plan for taking actionable steps moving forward. Greater self-awareness combined with feeling supported and being held accountable is a powerful tool that will enable you to make lasting change and realize your dreams.
Is relationship coaching expensive?
My goal is to make myself unnecessary to my clients. That is, I want to help you go from feeling uncertain and stuck to self-actualized, inspired, and empowered as quickly as possible.
While the time frame varies for each client, working with a relationship life coach is meant to last several weeks to a few months—versus months to years in the typical counseling model.
As a temporary investment, coaching is an effective and economical catalyst for bringing sustainable change to your life.
